Datenschutz und Datensicherheit in China: Überblick zu PIPL und DSL

The Data Security Law (DSL) is the first comprehensive data security law in the People’s Republic of China (PRC). The Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) is China’s first comprehensive data protection law. Both laws were passed and came into force in 2021. The regulations are new cornerstones of China’s data security architecture. Our partner lawyer Paul C. Johannes has published an article on this in the renowned academic journal for data protection. The article presents the laws and compares them to comparable EU and German regulations.
